The first step is always the hardest…
The first step is always the hardest, but where would we be if we would never put on our shoes and started walking? No idea because I did the first step. I finally decided on a label name, acquired a domain, and built a website.
Am I finished, done? Did I remove every single task from my to-do list? Oh no! Quite the opposite. If you ever start a project like this, let me warn you kindly. For every task you carried out, five more appear surprisingly on your things-to-be-done-list.
The mysterious multiplication of tasks can feel like a setback, but I read it as something good. I'm in the process. You can never get stuck when you're in the flow. Day by day, I gain knowledge.
I learn about:
marketing
SEO
AAAA records
subdomains
keywords
tags
Canva
digital illustrations
cutting video filed
business decisions
etc.
The list is endless.
Besides all this technical stuff, apps and programs, I am experiencing something more meaningful: myself.
I confront myself with various questions.
What will be the first words that I want to send into the world?
What paintings and drawings do I want to display?
What words will I use to describe me, my works, and my vision?
After all the work I already had put into this project, or dare I say, a dream of mine, I know one thing with certainty: this is just the beginning. That is not an exam. I don't need all the correct answers right now. It's a journey, and I am here for the long run. I will grow steadily.
That's me. That is how I begin writing my story and sharing it with you.
